OUR ETHOS

At Orkis Home we believe that every room should reflect who you are, each space filled with beautifully made pieces that add detail and personality. Our collections feature individual pieces that can center the attention in a room. We choose things that are a little bit different, not run of the mill, things that sit cohesively together with a natural, timeless feel.

Many of our ranges are handcrafted by artisans, each piece is unique with it’s own original beauty. Recycled glassware with tiny imperfections that add to it’s charm. Elegant tableware, each piece with a slightly different shape and hue that sit beautifully together. French inspired kitchenware with exquisite glazing that feels so homely. Sumptuous soft furnishings with layers of linen, cotton, velvet and wool. At ORKIS Home we combine quality, originality and timeless style in every collection.

OUR INSPIRATION

Our collections are inspired by the colour palette of nature, woody naturals, deep ink blue, fresh moss green, rich ochre yellow, cool whites, tranquil aquamarine. We combine a mix of natural hues with a depth of colour in every room. That colour can come from a single signature piece in a room of natural blends, or in a mix of deep, rich shades, accented with paler pieces.

For us texture just makes things more beautiful. Interesting textures that exude character. The way that not quite perfect indentations make a ceramic piece special. The way a textile is transformed with mixed yarns and knotting.

We are inspired by colours, patterns, textures and signature pieces that can instantly make a room look exquisite. Think rustic paired with metallics, earthy neutrals paired with smooth ceramics, natural fibres paired with sleek dark surfaces. Getting the balance right is in the detail.
